Reaching your next Level of Health

Every food you eat and drink you drink is medicine that is causing a chemical reaction in your body. So you are practicing internal medicine at least three times daily. Most people don’t have any plan or training for how to use food to help their body.

That is what you and I will focus on- getting you a plan and a new perspective on food as medicine. You will learn to choose wisely, because what you put in your body will directly change the way your body runs and the way you feel.

My Levels of Health wellness coaching program follows 3 Keys to Health: Cleanse, Nourish, Create. A wellness coach has but one interest in mind: keep you in a state of wellness, or get you there if need be. Areas we will address include stress management, blood lipid correction, weight reduction, ergonomic counseling and nutritional planning.We will establish clear goals and truly take you to your next Level of Health.

CLEANSE

Foods to Eliminate:

Together, we will gently cleanse your body & your pantry of items that don’t serve you. When it comes to foods and drinks, quality is more likely to satisfy your body than quantity. Rather than using large amounts of poor-quality foods, you will feel better in the long run by using better quality products in smaller amounts.

Review: We will do a review of your food choices and find the healthiest options to satisfy and uplift you.

Revise: Together we identify problem foods & habits that are best left behind.

Eliminate: Some items don’t belong in anyone’s body. You’ll learn more about how to reduce your exposure to toxins & chemicals. But for today:

Remove Toxins From Your Pantry. Throw away any product with the following ingredients:

    1. High Fructose Corn syrup*
    2. Partially Hydrogenated oils/Trans fats*
    3. Food colors*

* These substances & additives are found in many processed foods & have been linked to spikes in blood sugar, ulcers, acid reflux, mood changes, inflammation, intestinal challenges, high-blood pressure, ADHD, possible links to cancer, etc., and are not fit for consumption.

Foods to Focus on

Just as eating poor foods can cause health problems, eating good, clean, whole foods can bring balance and energy to your entire body and mind. Using foods as medicine, we will bring your body into harmony according to your body’s specific needs. My use of Chinese dietary care brings an understanding the varying qualities of food. If you tend to run cold or are thin, then we need to focus on the step called Nourish, using more building and warming foods and reduce raw foods as they are too cooling & cleansing. If, however, you usually feel hot or are overweight, then it is best to focus more on the step called Cleanse, choosing cooling, cleansing and regulating foods.

Cleanse & Nourish Food Examples

Cleansing, Cooling/Regulating Foods: tumeric, broccoli, chard, strawberries, blueberries, spinach, carrots and squash, avocado, omega 3 oil (Flax, tuna or krill oil), lemon, dandelion, cucumber, celery, parsley.

Nourishing, Warming/Building Foods: Beets, Grass-fed beef, flax, whole raw milk/ butter, bone broth, bee pollen, royal jelly, ginger, garlic, cayenne, omega 3 oil (Flax, tuna or krill oil).
